The artwork in this series explores the idea of portals in African spirituality and its relation to modern cosmology. Portals are real and they exist in some form or another for all people. African communities, who are rich with tradition and culture, have a variety of rituals and ceremonies that address the idea of portals. 
My hope is that these works will spark a conversation about what it means to be human and our relationship to the spiritual realm.
